Okay, those who know me know that I like orcs. Frankly I am sick of them being used as cannon fodder, useless drones whose rusty swords fall to bits as soon as they die. Gæa offers a unique oppertunity to make orcs as three dimensional as other non human races have become in other games.
Soo, yeah, orcs are orcs. (No not silly RQ III rules where they are some sort of elf!!! - thats goblyns.) They will eat you if they hungry enough, but like most predators, would far prefer a nice fattened pig or cow. They are a barbaric and cruel race who care as little for their fellow orcs as any other race and will not bat an eyelid at exterminating a weaker species - hey, they are like humans!
But to be serious: There is no reason why orcs should not forge alliances with humans and other races should it suit them, or why a well behaved orc with a heavy purse should not be allowed in a cosmopolitan city. So in my view of Gæa, while some humans will not mix with orcs, others will. Thus an orc can be played with relative ease as it will not be uncommon to see one travelling a civilised cities streets.
