I don't want to introduce different kind of STR, since I think the Habbit rating is a rather elegant -if timeconsuming during charactercreation -solution: "Your general STR is "X", but since you're a Mostali that have been training in full plate for 300 years, you've becomed quite used to it, and thus, the bulk and weight of the armor doesn't affect you as much as it did in the beginning."
Actually when thinking through my houserule while disputing with you (-one of the sideeffects that I love with theese discussions) -I've come to realise that the "HR" have more in common with skills than the STR attribute. You get used to ride bikecycle, and you get used to carry stuff (...eventually).
You do of course get stronger from carrying a lot of things as well, and I'll follow up your advise to let carrying stuff and or walking around a lot to allow characters CON and STR increases. -That was a good idea!

Yes, that's IMO the best argument against my HR. -I'm trying it out now in my current game. I did all the calculations on the characters inbetween sessions, so that it didn't take playhours. It took about 30 minutes to work out the Mostal and the Carmani that had loads of armor and stuff, not so much on the nude Basmoli (werelion).
My experience so far is that in game; it doesn't affect flow at all. (All relevant info is all on the sheets I've made for the players to see. Since I've droppped the rule of encumbrance tagging down available Fateguepoints, the game actually runs smoother during combat (you don't have to go through the character to calculate available FPts for every combat session).

I hope you post them here!
