Well it would be different by combining the AP for the block if both are successful before letting damage through.

I meant it to be used in conjunction with the aimed attack. It is to take into account those instance in which the two slashing weapons are used to try and cut of a mans head or when some tries to stab two daggers into someones back at the same time. The current rules would require the hits to occur on different sr

I think the errata with the soft armor rules works well enough on different weapons. I see your point about the impale damage though.
I have the Collesuim books, I will look at. If your encumberance system is in an easy format to post or send - I would like to take a gander at it.
